米大統領、ヨルダン米軍基地攻撃への対応方針固める衝突拡大は望まず - ロイター (Reuters Japan)

[ワシントン３０日ロイター] - バイデン米大統領は３０日、ヨルダンの米軍基地へのドローン（無人機）攻撃を巡り対応方針を固めたと述べた。より大規模な戦争を引き起こすことのない報復措置を検討している。

選挙運動のためフロリダ州に向けて出発する際、記者団に語った。方針について詳細は明らかにしなかった。

バイデン氏は、中東での武力衝突拡大は望んでいないとし、イランとの戦争は望まないとした他の政府高官と同様の見解を示した。

バイデン氏は選択肢を吟味しており、報復攻撃が行われるとの予想もあるが、その時期は不明。

イランに責任があるかと問われたバイデン氏は「テロ実行犯に武器を供給しているという意味では、責任がある」と回答した。

米国家安全保障会議（ＮＳＣ）のカービー戦略広報調整官は、米国が複数回対応する可能性があるとし、「単一の行動でなく、段階的なアプローチとなり、複数回行動する可能性が高い」と述べた。

２８日、シリアと国境を接するヨルダン北東部の米軍基地にドローンによる攻撃があり、米兵３人が死亡したほか、少なくとも３４人が負傷した。もっと見る
